February 2024: A Y-tree of J-L556 that includes solely the progenitors of all the known WIRTH Rabbinical families, their refined haplogroup and associated surnames is available to members of the group! Furthermore, a document that includes exhaustive biographical information about over 70 of the prominent Rabbis of the group is also available.

Summer 2007: "DNA and Jewish Genealogy Join Forces," written by Herb Huebscher and Elise Friedman about the WIRTH project, is published in AVOTAYNU, the world's largest circulation magazine devoted to Jewish genealogy.July 19-20, 2007: Herb and Elise successfully presented two (!) sessions about the WIRTH project at the 27th annual IAJGS International Conference on Jewish Genealogy in Salt Lake City. At the 2008 IAJGS Conference in Chicago, Herb and Saul Isroff presented a complete report about the WIRTH Group, then numbering 60 families. This is a link to that 50+slide presentation:
