So far we have found that there seem to be two groupings. One group traces directly back to Scotland, and belongs to the haplogroup I. The other grouping traces back to Ireland and other back to Scotland, and belongs to the haplogroup R1b.

We have confirmed the relationship of the Haplogoup I participants, but the R1b participants will need to test more markers (25 or 37) to make more accurate matches.

More participants are needed, in particular McWh*rters from the USA.
